Globetech was founded 2011. The desire behind Globetech’s goal was to establish a company that is highly focused solely on maritime IT solutions and optimal operations. Several of the employees have worked with marine IT solutions since before the millennium. There are many similarities between office and marine IT, but also very important differences. In the (total) delivery we experience that the easy part is similar on shore and that the important elements such as industry experience and knowing the environment where to operate, are the most important to reach a good marine IT solution. It is precisely in this setting that Globetech wants to be the best, and in our opinion, that requires working with these challenges on a daily basis.

Globetech has recently chosen to expand its product portfolio. This is because many customers experience IT-, communications-, CCTV- and entertainment solutions to be very complex with multiple dependencies. Competence is essential, and without the right expertise, making the right choices will be very difficult. The risk is dealing with many different vendors in the operating phase. So when a problem occurs, the users have difficulties seeing which provider the problem belongs too. In only five years, Globetech AS has assigned contracts with over 70 ships and ships offices worldwide.

Globetech takes responsibility and tries to live up to the term “Single point of contact” even where we only delivered the Globetech SeaNet system. Globetech knows the dependencies, which makes it easier for us to troubleshoot directly with the supplier instead of the crew.
